Winter is not my favorite season because I do not do so well in the cold. However, I do love the looks of snow and pulling out snow-themed activities and resources for speech! Where I grew up, it never snowed. I never had the chance to experience a ‘snow day’. My daughter considers herself lucky that she has been fortunate enough to experience a few. However, now that Covid-19 has changed the face of education, snow days for our area may be a thing of the past. According to her school, if students have to remain home due to inclement weather, they will continue to attend school virtually for half of the day and then spend the other half of the day completing independent work at home. Has Covid-19 and the new wave of education impacted your snow days? Are your students lucky enough to experience snow days?
In case you are not living in a state that has snow for your students to experience or if you are addressing snow in the classroom since it is the season for it, I have linked books, songs, videos, games, and freebies to help expand your resources. For full disclosure, as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases for the books listed below and a few of the games found on Amazon. The other activities and resources provided are not affiliated links. I hope these resources benefit your students, lesson plans, and therapy sessions!
